FaceTite: The Newest Option to Improve Skin Laxity

As you age, your skin begins to reduce its production of collagen, resulting in the loss of elasticity in your face. As a result, you may begin to notice increased sagging and drooping, as well as an overall loss of firmness. For those who are inclined to look for a solution to reverse the signs of the aging process, a facelift often comes to mind.

However, undergoing such a procedure can result in significant downtime, and the results may not be what you are looking for. Fortunately, there are other options available that are not as invasive. One option is FaceTite.

What Is FaceTite?

FaceTite is an FDA-cleared facial rejuvenation procedure that uses radiofrequency energy beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production, resulting in tighter and firmer skin. This treatment can be used on the chin, jowls, cheeks, and neck to deliver lasting results without the invasive methods used in a facelift.

In some cases, FaceTite may be combined with other treatment options, including liposuction, dermal fillers, or Botox, to enhance the overall results. The use of these treatments in combination with FaceTite can restore volume to the face, fill in wrinkles, and eliminate pockets of fat that have accumulated in certain areas, such as the jawline.

Microneedling is an additional treatment that can be added to FaceTite to further stimulate collagen production and even skin tone.

What Are the Benefits of FaceTite?

There are a number of advantages to seeking a FaceTite treatment. These include:

Slimmer Silhouette

Most people seek FaceTite treatment to eliminate the appearance of jowls, or turkey neck, that often appear as a result of genetics or aging over time. Through the use of FaceTite, you can obtain a slimmer facial silhouette that targets these areas without the need for invasive surgery.

FaceTite uses powerful radiofrequency energy to penetrate deep within the skin, resulting in significant skin tightening and facial contouring.

Minimally Invasive

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure, requiring only local anesthesia and very tiny incisions. Furthermore, patients can often return to their normal activities a short time after the procedure.

Long-Lasting Results

When you undergo FaceTite, you can expect to maintain the results of your procedure for at least a year. If you follow aftercare instructions, you may preserve the results for up to five years. This is longer than many alternative treatments, such as dermal fillers.

Can Be Combined with Other Treatments

You can combine FaceTite with other skin tightening procedures such as NeckTite, dermal fillers, or other treatments to enhance the results. If you have problems with pigmentation or want to reduce the appearance of large pores, microneedling may be another option.

FaceTite is thoroughly compatible with a variety of different treatments designed to enhance natural beauty and tighten skin.

Who Is a Good Candidate for FaceTite?

Those who stand to gain the most benefits from FaceTite have some laxity of the skin but have maintained overall elasticity in their faces. These individuals aren’t quite at the stage of needing a traditional facelift, but they are noticing the beginning effects of aging.

FaceTite can result in dramatic skin tightening benefits that only grow over time, with peak results seen around the six-week period after the procedure has been implemented.

How Does FaceTite Work?

Similar to other radiofrequency-based technologies, FaceTite works by heating the lower dermis layer of the skin. This layer primarily consists of collagen. Once it is heated, a natural healing response is generated in the body, causing new collagen to form.

The treatment also tightens existing collagen fibers and may promote the reduction of fat.

Earlier radiofrequency procedures were not able to penetrate as deeply into the skin. Thus, their benefits were not as strong, and results weren’t as apparent or long-lasting.

What Happens During a FaceTite Procedure?

Before undergoing a FaceTite procedure, you’ll schedule a consultation with a trained member of our team to discuss the goals you seek to achieve through FaceTite. During the consultation, we’ll ask you for your medical history, as well as a list of any prescription drugs you are currently taking.

Next, we’ll describe the procedure and discuss any potential side effects. Then, we’ll explain how you should care for your skin following the treatment. Feel free to ask our team any questions about the procedure or possible results.

During your appointment for FaceTite, we’ll administer local anesthesia before beginning. Once this has been administered, we’ll make a tiny incision into the treatment area. This incision is so small that it doesn’t require any stitches. A thin probe will be inserted into the area to heat tissue below the skin’s surface.

While the tissue is being heated, an electrode will be waved over the skin’s surface to generate an electrical field. This part of the process maximizes skin contraction and fat coagulation.

You can expect the entire procedure to last less than one hour. You’ll be able to go home afterward, and we will provide you with the instructions you need for aftercare.

Results will begin to appear within one week and should increase over time. Most patients see the maximum benefits of FaceTite after six weeks, but improvements may continue to appear for several months afterward.
