Are Morpheus8 Results Permanent?

The most frequently asked question about Morpheus8 results is how long this treatment will last. Is there any skin condition that can benefit from permanent results with this treatment? To put it simply, the longevity of the results from this radiofrequency microneedling treatment is mostly associated with long-term collagen production. As long as your collagen production remains high, your results will continue to be visible.

It’s worth noting that most cosmetic treatments do not offer permanent, life-long results. Not even plastic surgery can last for more than a decade. For a non-invasive treatment like this one, the results can last for 12 months or longer, particularly when you take good care of your skin after your treatment. But the results will always be temporary, even if the results are long-lasting.

What About Morpheus8 Results for Age-Related Concerns?

Most age-related concerns are either caused by damage from the sun or the natural decline of collagen production after a certain age.

Morpheus8 can comprehensively treat age-related concerns because the combination of thermal heat and microneedling technology enables the body to produce new collagen and turn over new skin cells to refine the appearance of the skin.

However, results for age-related concerns will only last for as long as new collagen remains in the skin. Collagen, just like any other part of the skin, is not a permanent substance and will eventually deplete due to sun exposure or natural processes. However, deep sub-dermal collagen produced by this treatment can last for 12 to 18 months.

What About Morpheus8 Results for Sun Damage?

Radiofrequency treatments are commonly used to improve the appearance of sun-damaged skin, including improving concerns like dark spots and thinning skin. However, the results for correcting these concerns will generally only last for about a year. Ideally, if you want to enjoy the results of your treatment for as long as possible, it’s best to prevent new sun damage by wearing SPF when you plan to be outside.

What About Morpheus8 Results for Scarring?

This treatment can also treat scarring caused by acne and stretch marks. Treating scars can be challenging because it requires collagen restructuring and new collagen production. Treating scars and reducing the appearance of some scarring can produce long-lasting results for at least 12 to 18 months with this radiofrequency microneedling treatment system.

How Does Morpheus8 Treatment Work?

Morpheus8 combines the best of two powerful aesthetic treatments. Microneedling is a popular cosmetic treatment that addresses superficial concerns, including uneven tone, texture, enlarged pores, and fine lines. This portion of the treatment works by inducing small micro-injuries on the surface layers of the skin, which then prompts the skin to start healing itself by producing new collagen and elastin. Over time, this improves the appearance of your skin.

Radiofrequency treatments work by utilizing gentle thermal energy to increase blood circulation and stimulate collagen production, as well as more rapid cellular turnover. Radiofrequency treatments are energy-based therapies that are gentle, yet powerful enough to address a variety of challenging skin concerns. Combined, radiofrequency and microneedling address both surface and sub-dermal skin concerns.

What Is Your Treatment Like?

Your treatment appointments will generally take about 30 to 60 minutes to complete based on how many areas you are treating. Most patients find this treatment well-tolerated and comfortable. You will not need to make many specific preparations for your treatment aside from avoiding direct sunlight exposure and potentially irritating skincare products before your appointment.

After your appointment, you should be sure to take good care of your skin. It’s important to use gentle products while your skin is in the initial healing phase, which will take about one week. We may give you specific ointments or products to use daily. You will be able to wear make-up two days after your appointment.

How Soon Will You See Morpheus8 Results?

Most people will be able to see initial results about two to four weeks after the treatment. Your results will improve as your skin creates and matures new collagen and turns over new skin cells. Because most people will require a series of two to four appointments to achieve optimal results, it may take two to four months to see the final results of your treatment.

How Can You Maintain Morpheus8 Results?

The key to maintaining the results of your treatment can be found in your lifestyle habits and skincare routine. The goal of your skin maintenance is to prevent an environment or circumstances where skin aging can occur more easily. In general, this means avoiding unprotected sun exposure by using a broad-spectrum SPF during the daytime.

You can also maintain your results with good lifestyle habits, like drinking enough water, eating a balanced diet, and sticking to a consistent skincare routine. The skincare products you use should support your skin goals, which means using anti-aging products to support collagen production or using acne-fighting products to prevent acne complications.

When Will You Need More Morpheus8 Treatments?

Most people like to have annual treatments to better maintain the results of this treatment. One treatment every 12 months is usually adequate to maintain a higher level of collagen production to keep the skin smooth and younger-looking. That said, if your results are lasting longer than anticipated, then you may be able to postpone your treatment until you see the early visible signs of aging.

Can You Use Other Treatments?

Everyone has different skin and different aesthetic needs, so although Morpheus8 can greatly improve the appearance of your skin, you may want to include other aesthetic treatments to achieve your skin goals.

For example, using dermal fillers can contour your lips or other areas of your face, while neurotoxin injections can relax the appearance of dynamic wrinkles that might not respond to radiofrequency microneedling treatments. We can help you build a treatment plan that addresses all of your concerns.

Who Are Good Candidates?

Candidates for this revolutionary treatment system include people who have moderate to severe signs of visible aging. Most people who seek this treatment are looking for an alternative to a facelift procedure, but you may also be a good candidate if you simply want to use a treatment that addresses all of your appearance concerns at once.

Candidates for this treatment include those of all skin tones and skin types. However, if you are pregnant, you may not be a good candidate for this treatment. You can confirm your eligibility for this treatment during your consultation appointment.

Refine Your Skin With Long-Lasting Results

When it comes to improving the tone and texture of your skin, ideally it’s best to find a single treatment that can address most or all of your skin concerns at one time. It’s even more preferable if this treatment can achieve your aesthetic goals without using any harsh or overly invasive techniques.

The visible signs of aging can be tough to deal with by yourself – but with the right aesthetic treatment, you can greatly improve the tone and texture of your skin. Morepheus8 is a highly versatile treatment that can improve the appearance of your skin in only a few treatments.
