Quantum RF vs. CoolSculpting® for Fat Reduction: What’s the Difference?

Looking to slim down stubborn areas without surgery? You’re not alone – nonsurgical body contouring has become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments among both women and men in recent years.

While CoolSculpting® is a popular name in nonsurgical fat reduction, it’s not the only option and isn’t always the best fit for everyone. At Michigan Center for Cosmetic Services, we are one of the first practices to now offer Quantum RF nonsurgical body contouring, which can both eliminate stubborn fat and tighten skin at the same time.

If you’re not sure which could be the best fat reduction treatment for you, take a look at this side-by-side breakdown of Quantum radiofrequency vs. CoolSculpting to help you decide.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical fat reduction treatment that uses a process called cryolipolysis to freeze and destroy targeted fat cells without harming the surrounding tissue. While CoolSculpting can be an effective tool for getting rid of stubborn fat, it won’t address skin laxity,  which is often made worse with the removal of excess fat.

What Is Quantum RF?

Quantum RF is a new, multi-benefit body contouring device that uses radiofrequency energy to eliminate stubborn fat and tighten skin. It works by using a small probe to deliver controlled heat to the targeted areas, which breaks down fat cells and stimulates collagen without the need for liposuction or other surgical procedures.

Quantum RF can treat a wide range of areas, including your neck and jawline, abdomen, back, knees, thighs and arms. As with CoolSculpting, initial Quantum RF results may be visible directly after your treatment, though full results will continue to develop over the coming weeks and months as collagen remodels to tighten skin.

What’s the Difference between Quantum RF and FaceTite?

If you’re already familiar with the FaceTite nonsurgical facelift, you may be wondering how Quantum RF differs. While Quantum RF and FaceTite are similar in that they both use radiofrequency energy to remove fat and tighten skin, there are a few key differences.

The most notable difference is that Quantum RF does not use liposuction, while FaceTite combines radiofrequency technology with liposuction. Secondly, FaceTite specifically addresses excess fat and loose skin in the chin, jaw and neck areas, while the Quantum RF device can treat everywhere from the jawline to the ankles.

Which Fat Reduction Treatment Is Right for Me?

When deciding between radiofrequency and CoolSculpting for body contouring, the most important factors to consider are your goals. While CoolSculpting can address stubborn pockets of fat, it cannot get rid of loose skin. If you already have some skin laxity and are looking to both remove fat and tighten skin, Quantum RF contouring may be the better choice for you.

If you still have questions about whether or not you could be a good candidate for nonsurgical body contouring or would like to schedule a consultation to discuss your goals in more detail, please call our Ann Arbor office at 734-971-0262 or get in touch with us online.
