NEOVA Chemical Peels

We are excited to offer three different strengths of chemical peels from NEOVA, a trusted skincare brand focused on skin rejuvenation. All of our chemical peels exfoliate and remove the layer of dead cells that sit on the skin’s surface and stimulate the production of new healthy epidermal cells beneath. They work by introducing controlled injury to the skin to a specific depth.

Choosing the Right Chemical Peel for You

Peels – better described as resurfacers – are divided into three categories: superficial, medium and deep peels – which defines the penetration depth when applied to the skin. While each affects clinical outcomes differently, the depth of the peel also describes the level of injury caused to the skin.

  • Superficial peels are the ‘lightest’ with no downtime expected. They penetrate into the epidermis and provide instant brightening and smoothing of the skin. Suitable for our patients with mild to moderate photodamage, pigmentation, mild acne scarring, dry skin, post inflammatory pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and ‘dull’ skin, they have significant scientific research to support their efficacy.
  • Medium-depth peels are favored for moderate skin damage as a stand-alone treatment or as part of a combined or blended peel.  Blended peels – the newest to the category – tend to be less aggressive with less recovery time or shedding of the skin. TCA peels are a medium-depth peel that penetrates deeper than the glycolic or salicylic acid peels, making them highly efficient in reducing scarring, minimizing fine lines and pigmentation issues.
  • Deep peels, uncommon today because of the continuous development of superficial and medium peels, and the acceptance of a series of them, mean results are produced with little or no downtime. Deep peels must be performed within a clinic environment and require sedation. The aesthetic industry has moved away from these procedures due to prolonged downtime, risk of complications, and the sedation requirement. As a result, these procedures are not offered at MCCS.

REVEAL 3 MED [20%] Medium Strength Chemical Peel

A medical concentration, REVEAL 3 MED [20%] is a blend of TCA [Trichloroacetic Acid], AHAs [Alpha Hydroxy Acids] and BHAs [Beta Hydroxy Acids]. Blended to fuse, it is an extraordinarily effective chemical agent for skin renewal and may be used for face, neck and décolletage or on isolated areas. REVEAL 3 MED [20%] will produce peeling, flaking and sloughing for up to 1 week.

The REVEAL 3 MED peel has a pH range of 1.5-2.5. It acts on the outermost layers of skin by lifting dead skin cells, removing unwanted epidermal cells, dissolving excess oil and cellular debris. This peel produces powerful correction for most photoaging and environmental skin issues.

The REVEAL 3 MED peel is ideal for the correction of all photodamage symptoms. It is intended for patients who have progressed to advanced peel tolerance. This peel is not recommended for darker skin tones due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

REVEAL 3 [10%] Light Strength Chemical Peel

A combination of TCA [Trichloroacetic Acid], AHAs [Alpha Hydroxy Acids], BHAs [Beta Hydroxy Acids], and enzymes, the REVEAL 3 peel is blended to cause minimal irritation, produce almost no downtime, and result in a noticeably improved complexion. The REVEAL 3 peel will cause flaking for 1 to 3 days, but it may not produce visible peeling on all treated skin.

The REVEAL 3 peel has a pH range of 1.8-2.8. It produces remarkable skin brightening and the multi-acid, multi-enzyme formula begins correction of every visible symptom of photodamage.

Safe for all skin types, the REVEAL 3 peel is a light strength peel excellently suited to first-time TCA patients in need of penetrating action to correct acne, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. It produces remarkable skin brightening and begins correction of every visible symptom of photodamage.

REVEAL GLYCOLIC TX [30%] Exfoliator

This comprehensive medical strength peel effectively corrects the adverse signs of photoaging, including fine lines, wrinkles and light hyperpigmentation, without visible flaking. It is appropriate for all skin tones, even those with sensitive skin.

The REVEAL GLYCOLIC TX peel, with a pH range of 1.7 to 2.7, is a resurfacing treatment to treat photoaging skin symptoms like wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and uneven tone. It is also being studied for a secondary benefit: undoing the damage which could lead to skin cancer. Researchers have theorized that since most photodamage occurs in the superficial layers of the skin, it stands to reason that superficial chemical peels could aid in reversing the effects of sun damage to those cells. Recent findings support the theory: glycolic peels administered on a regular basis can reverse the changes associated with chronic UV exposure by removing the sun-damaged cells.
