Morpheus8 is a form of collagen induction therapy that involves microneedling and the distribution of fractionated RF energy to the skin. Both of these processes work together to stimulate the body’s collagen production to improve the appearance of acne scars.
Microneedling creates tiny injuries on the surface of the acne scar, and over time, the body heals those injuries with increased collagen in the scar. Collagen plumps the skin that contains the scar, greatly diminishing its appearance. Morpheus8 can be performed once a month until the desired results appear.
It takes the body approximately one month to make new collagen, and visible results will appear at that time and will improve over the next few months.
