5 Facelift Alternatives That Don’t Involve Surgery

While facelifts are becoming increasingly popular among men and women in their 50s and even 40s, many people seek nonsurgical facelift alternatives if they aren’t yet ready for or don’t wish to have surgery. If you are searching for the best facelift alternative to address fine lines, wrinkles or loose skin, you’re in luck: There are quite a few excellent options that can help you achieve the more youthful look you want without surgery or extensive downtime.

1. Morpheus8 RF Microneedling

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen production deep within the skin. Tiny needles create “micro channels” within the skin’s surface, which triggers your skin’s natural repair and renewal process, while radiofrequency energy heats the underlying layers to enhance skin tightening effects. Dr. West typically recommends a series of 3 treatments to see the best results.

This treatment is effective for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines and firming mild to moderate skin laxity, especially around the cheeks, jawline and neck. Results will gradually improve over the coming weeks and months, as collagen continues to build, with minimal downtime.

2. FaceTite

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency delivered under the skin’s surface to tighten and contour the face and neck by promoting collagen. It can be particularly useful for treating jowls, nasolabial folds and sagging skin in the lower face. Although FaceTite involves 1 to 3 very small incisions, there is no obvious scarring and far less downtime and recovery than a regular surgical facelift.

3. QUANTUM RF

QUANTUM RF is another noninvasive radiofrequency treatment that targets loose skin and wrinkles, in addition to some fat reduction. This device uses fractional radiofrequency energy to heat deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surface, stimulating collagen production. QUANTUM RF can be an effective option for both the lower face and various areas of the body.

4. BOTOX®

If forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and other creases are your main concerns, BOTOX® can be an effective nonsurgical facelift alternative. This injectable treatment targets dynamic expression lines that become static wrinkles over time. While BOTOX doesn’t lift sagging skin, it can create a smoother and more refreshed appearance. Results typically last 3 to 4 months and can be maintained with regular treatments.

5. Dermal Fillers

Injectable fillers can be used on their own or in combination with BOTOX or other neuromodulators to smooth away lines and creases and restore natural-looking volume to the cheeks and lips. Dr. West offers a customized V Lift, also known as a liquid facelift, to help her Michigan patients achieve the more youthful and refreshed look they want without surgery. Each V Lift treatment plan is personalized to suit your specific needs and goals.
